This Cookie Policy explains how NewsRush Pte. Ltd. ("NewsRush," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit newsrush.life. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) when cookies involve personal data.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in (where applicable) and understand how pages are used. NewsRush uses cookies for three broad purposes:
- Essential cookies: Required for the website to function. These include cookie consent storage and security-related tokens. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand aggregate traffic patterns — which sections are read most, device types and referral sources. Data is used to improve layout and editorial prioritisation, not to build individual reader profiles for sale.
- Marketing cookies: Used sparingly to measure effectiveness of our own brief subscription prompts. We do not run third-party ad networks or retargeting pixels for external advertisers on newsrush.life.
3. Cookie consent
When you first visit newsrush.life, a cookie banner appears after a short delay. You may:

- Reject all: Only essential cookies are used.
- Customise: Choose analytics and marketing categories individually.
Your choice is stored in a cookie named nr_cookie_consent for 180 days. After expiry, or if you clear browser cookies, the banner will appear again. You may change preferences at any time by clearing site cookies and revisiting.

5. Third-party cookies
We minimise third-party cookies. Google Fonts is loaded from Google servers when you visit our site; Google may process technical data under its own policies. We do not embed social media tracking widgets or advertising networks in rush editions. If we add third-party embeds in future, this policy will be updated before activation.
